ECOANODE’s AC interference mitigation ribbon is engineered specifically to safeguard buried metallic pipelines from the dangers of induced alternating current. Our mitigation ribbon addresses this by enabling close parallel installation directly alongside the pipeline, creating a continuous, low-resistance grounding path that runs the entire length of the interference zone.
This dedicated discharge pathway offers a preferential route for the induced AC fault currents to safely dissipate into the ground. By effectively diverting these currents away from the pipeline itself, the system directly mitigates the risk of AC-induced corrosion at coating defects and significantly reduces touch potential voltages, enhancing operational safety. Our AC mitigation ribbon is prepackaged with porous, non-woven synthetic sleeve. This tough sleeve is sewn using a poly two or four-thread double interlocking stitch, which prevents the seam from separating during installation, or when stored in high temperature conditions.
