The aluminum-based electrolytic anti-corrosion anode rod is a key component in Marine Growth Prevention Systems (MGPS). Unlike copper anodes which directly kill organisms, its core function is to electrolyze seawater to generate aluminum ions. These ions rapidly form a positively charged aluminum hydroxide colloid in water, which adsorbs uniformly onto the inner surfaces of cooling water pipes, condensers, and heat exchangers, forming a very thin and dense protective film. This film effectively isolates the metal surface from seawater, thereby preventing electrochemical corrosion, while also inhibiting the attachment of marine organism larvae through a physical barrier effect.
